Crest Construction & Commercial Roofing is a Monroe-based construction company specializing in retail/restaurant construction, commercial roofing, and related real estate development work. Founded on a team-building mentality, Crest is focused on growth, integrity, transparency, and providing a professional client experience. As the company continues to expand, we are looking for a Controller who can help organize, manage, and strengthen the financial side of the business.
Crest Construction & Commercial Roofing is hiring a Construction Company Controller to manage bookkeeping, accounting, reporting, and financial organization across multiple related companies. This is a hands-on accounting and finance role with long-term growth potential. The right person will be comfortable handling day-to-day bookkeeping while also helping build systems, reports, and processes that support the company's continued growth. This role is ideal for someone who wants to be part of a growing construction company and has the ability to develop into a higher-level financial leadership role over time.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage bookkeeping and accounting for multiple related business entities
- Maintain accurate records in QuickBooks Online
- Handle accounts payable, accounts receivable, invoicing, reconciliations, and financial documentation
- Reconcile bank statements, credit cards, and monthly financial activity
- Track project-related financials, job costs, expenses, and reporting
- Support ownership with financial reports, cash flow tracking, and business decision-making
- Help improve accounting systems, internal processes, and reporting procedures
- Work with CRM and construction management software as needed
- Maintain organized records across construction, roofing, and real estate-related entities
- Support future growth by helping build financial systems that can scale with the company
Qualifications
- Previous accounting, bookkeeping, controller, or financial management experience required
- Construction accounting or multi-entity accounting experience preferred
- QuickBooks Online experience required
- Strong Microsoft Office skills, especially Excel
- Experience with CRM software preferred
- Experience with construction management software such as JobTread or Procore preferred
- College degree in accounting, finance, business, or a related field preferred
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage confidential financial information
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work closely with ownership
- Must be comfortable working in-person at the Monroe office
Pay and Benefits
- Full-Time, W-2 Employment
- Base Salary: $75,000-$85,000 per year, based on experience
- Performance-based bonus tied to company and financial metrics
- Work Setting: In-office (Monroe, LA)

- Schedule: Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM-4:00 PM or 8:00 AM-5:00 PM
